What is the deal with the front cover of White Ladder by David Gray?
Years ago now, my old Graphic design teacher told the class there was something interesting the front cover of this album and that we had to guess how it was photographed and what it was about. He said he would explain next lesson, but due to a series of events I never found out what he was going on about. Does anybody have a clue about what he could have been going on about?

To me it looks like it's been photographed through a wire mesh, supposedly to make it look like a fly-eye view.
