Do you agree with Dennis Leary?
Denis Leary tackles autism, blaming parents for the brain disorder, in his new book, "Why We Suck: a Feel-Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid. He was quoted saying "There is a huge boom in autism right now because inattentive mothers and competitive dads want an explanation for why their dumb-ass kids can't compete academically, so they throw money into the happy laps of shrinks ... to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons," the "Rescue Me" star writes, calling such children "stupid" or "lazy" rather than autistic. Whats your opinion on this and do you think Mr. Leary should just stick to television?
i totally agree with him. People want a reason for things they can't accept as true, so they try to find a more favorable reason instead of just taking blame themselves. Just my opinion...
