Conscious Guide to living without fear in today's economy
In today's economic, societal, and seemingly transparent marketplace, people are panicking and turning their attention to their fear, because they say, "i just don't know what to do". Well, on the one hand i get it! On the other, I wonder about how much the economy can really be a victim based problem.
Ask yourself: are you the victim in this situation? What brought you here? Did you not make this choice to be where you are today? If you answered yes, you have a shot
at helping yourself. If you answered no, we still have a long way to go, but don't give up or throw in the towel just yet. You're on your way.
For the past months as a Clincal and Somatic Psychotherapist, I've witnessed a host of problems that have come along with everyday stressors like job loss, financial ruin, and great dark deep depression that has struck people more than last years flu. So, how can I help? The point is; you must begin to see this situation in a different light. You must choose another way of seeing reality. Ready yet?
Our reality is how we perceive it. You've heard it before. Two people go to the same event but each sees it differently. Why? Beause they are using different lenses. These lenses are tools we have developed over years to make sense of the world. Problem is, this colored lens no longer works in today's society because everything is different, changing. The colors are all different.
Would you use an old pan to cook when you had a new one in your kitchen?
Point is, there is an ever present void in this new voice of conscious reflection and it is calling out, "I know I need/want something, I just don't know what it is!"
And i ask you, look inside yourself for the answers. Have you ever considered this time for you to be a blessing?
I welcome you to the void of the unknown. The matrix of the desire "to know'. Answer is, stay there. That is all you need to know right now. Yes, that is correct. You must know now that you don't know. Make sense? Probably not yet, but hang in there. It gets lighter.
How does dark turn into day? Light. Does this light come in all at once? No. You will notice that nature is the biggest teacher. The sun comes in slowly. If you've ever been up late and witnessed the sun above the horizon you will notice that with each passing moment, it gets just a little brighter. Then more. So much more that the time is now sunrise and the whole sky is light.
This is the same for you and your process. It takes time. You just need to trust and let go. We'll be in touch. For now, not knowing is the safest place you can be. So long as you are aware that you are there.
Adaptation, conscious awareness, mindfulness, etc. are all new ways of looking and perceiving this new light shift. During these troubling times it is easy to turn on the radio, tv and gossip about all of the world is going to shit. But can you do something different? Can you turn off the TV or rather donate it, and spend an evening quietly contemplating what is real? Can i dare you to turn in instead of out to find these answers?
