-Love to see him slap one with a composite.

-Somebody needs to dig in the corners.
D- Bobby Orr.
-Of course.
D- Eddie Shore.
-To punish the euro forwards with their heads down.
G- Billy Smith.
-Billy would clear out any and all traffic by himself
If you thought Cam was a defenseman, you are automatically disqualified.
The logic in my selections. First, I would have loved to see Gretzky and Howe skate together. With these 5 skaters, Gretzky is the clean cut playmaker of the group. Howe and Shore provide my grit and toughness. Orr and Hull my clean cut speed. Plante set the table for all of todays goaltenders in many more ways than just wearing a mask.
I imagine that a typical sequence of play would go something like this...
Plante makes a save and plays the rebound to the corner. Shore wrecks someone, comes out with the puck and regroups behind the net to Orr. Orr makes a dazzling trip up ice beating two forecheckers and dishes to Gretzky as they cross the offensive blue line. Gretzky pulls up at the top of the circle on the boards as Howe drives the net. Hull finds some open ice on the back door. Gretzky draws in a defenseman and feeds a wide open Hull at the top of the far circle for a 130 mph one-timer by Hull with his new composite stick which Howe redirects for the goal.
