If i live in van nuys city in california, can I apply for paul revere middle school?
I live in van nuys california and i want to enroll my daughter in the paul revere middle school. I dont know if they accept her though because we live over here, but do you think they will accept her? she wants to transfer schools. she is now attending mulholland middle school but she is having problems & wants to attend for 8th grade.
I think you missed the application cut-off date, although they may accept late applications. It doesn't hurt to call and ask. As a non-resident, you can apply for the Charter school or through LAUSD Choices. The chance that your daughter would be accepted for 8th, even if you applied on time, is very slim. Usually, they have very few, if any, openings in 7th and 8th, 6th grade is the main entrance point, and unless a student leaves the school there won't be openings in 7th and 8th. I've heard that the school is quite full, and has been for a couple of years, since the economy caused residents to pull their kids out of private school and send them to Revere instead.
Here is info on applying:

A lot can change over the summer, and perhaps you can work with your daughter on whatever the issues are, maybe her coping skills can improve. Here are a couple of websites to look into high schools.

Good luck!
