What's the difference between restaurant style tortilla chips and regular?
I bought a bag of Herr's restaurant style tortilla chips but what's the difference between these and regular tortilla chips?
supposedly the "restaurant" style chips are made from actual tortillas, cut and fried or baked. Regular style chips are processed and shaped to be chips and were not tortillas originally. There are a lot of companies out there that are advertising the chips as "restaurant style" only as a marketing gimmick when they are not, in fact, restaurant style chips. Go to any AUTHENTIC mexican restaurant and you will be able to tell whether or not the chips are processed or the real deal (restaurant style).
