What's your "worst autograph" story?
Former NFL defensive back Terrell Buckley once refused my autograph when he was shopping in a mall store where I worked. I'd asked him just one time and was pretty stunned when he said no. I mean, who refuses autographs when they've called so much attention to themselves publicly, and are alone shopping on a quiet afternoon?
So all I could think of, standing there like a dumbass with a pen and paper in my hand was, "Oh. Um, are you sure?" He relented, signed for me, then complained to my manager that I was harrassing him.
I soured on autographs for years after that.
The worst autograph story would be the autograph I didn't get from Lance in Austin while doing the ride for the roses.
